She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Battles and Daisy Battles (Smith); and her husband Ed Scoggins. She is survived by: her sister Janelle Battles Bethune; her sons, Edward Harold Scoggins Jr. and Matthew Trent Scoggins; and her nephew William Clay Bethune.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
