It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ottis Monroe Bates of Altoona, Alabama, who passed away on October 17, 2021, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father Luther Clifton. He is survived by: his daughter Becky Harris; his grandchildren, Grant Tatum and Kory Tatum; and his sister Evelyn Miller. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
