He is survived by: his wife Barbara Sue Sweatt Wells; his daughters, Kristen Wiggins (Russell) and Kimberly Dienstl (Keith); his grandchildren, Riley Grace Kelley (Mason), Maggie Ruth, Jack, Mollie Jae, Pitt, Ella Grae Wiggins and Kolten Dienstl; his brother Dr. Mike Wells (Maria); his sister-in-law Katy Sue Wells; and his nieces and nephews, Ashton Wells III, Amanda Lanier (John), Maria Pezzoli (David), Daniel Wells (Laura), John Wells (Kelly) and Sarah Maynor (Sonny).
