With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Louie Allen Ragsdale of Ashville, Alabama, who passed away on May 16, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Louie Allen may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Martha Jane and Willie Albert Ragsdale; his siblings, Ralph Ragsdale and Bonnie Ragsdale; and his daughter Tammy Gurley.
He is survived by: his son Alan Ragsdale (Angela); his son-in-law Durrell Shepherd; and his grandsons, Joey, Bruice, Josh and DJ.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bell Forestdale Chapel (2077 Pratt Hwy, Birmingham, AL 35214). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, May 24th 2025 at the Village Falls Cemetery.
