He is survived by: his wife Betty Joyce Eckert of Rabun, AL; his children, Kelly Wayne Barrientes (Melanie) of Houston, TX, Dewayne Minchew (Nikki) of Rabun, AL, Kim Platt (John) of Chunchula, AL, Renae White (Eric) of Rabun, AL and Kelly Smith (Joel) of Chunchula, AL; and his sister Geneva Eckert Ward (Joe Allen) of Lucedale, MS. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
