He was predeceased by: his wife Sharlene Benton Foster; his parents, George Lee and Maggie Mae Foster; and his daughter Darlene Foster Stewart. He is survived by: his close friend Shirley Jackson of Pensacola, FL; his son George Foster, Jr. (Paula) of Rabun, AL; his siblings, Aubrey Foster of Rabun, AL, Elsie Mae Brown of Loxley, AL and Maggie Lee Chancey of Bay Minette, AL; his grandchildren, Casey Stewart (Lacey), Darla Lawley (Brad), Kara Mulder (Josh) and Brett Foster; and his great grandchildren, Lane, Leighann, Emry, Chloe, Valley, Easton and Mary-Evelyn.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to the Hall's Fork Church of Christ Cemetery.
