He was predeceased by: his parents, Mitchell Dread and Lou Dread; and his siblings, Orzie Lee "Hat" Dread, Sr., Johnnie Dread, Sr., Charles "Jack" Dread and Willie Elvin Dread.
He is survived by: his nieces, Hazel Molden and Carolyn Bivins. He is also survived by several nephews, great nephews, nieces, great nieces, cousins and friends.
