It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melvin L. Carpenter (Atmore, Alabama), who passed away on August 30, 2019, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Carolyn Biggs Carpenter; his parents, Ira Carpenter and Lennie Carpenter; and his siblings, Marilyn Carpenter Welch and Jerry Carpenter.
He is survived by: his children, John "Randy" Carpenter (Donna) of Perdido, AL, Angela Jordan (Al) of Bay Minette, AL and Sonya Calametti (Matt) of Mobile, AL; his brothers, Steve Carpenter (Gail) of Atmore, AL and Raymond Carpenter (Rebecca) of McDavid, FL; and his grandchildren, Alex Carpenter, Danielle Carpenter, Andy Jordan, Gage Calametti, Justin Calametti and Joseph Calametti.
