He was predeceased by: his wife Maverine Martin King; his son Michael Hoyt King; his parents, Rollie Preston King and Annie Lou King; and his brother Frank King.
He is survived by: his daughter Cathy Phillips (Ricky); his sisters, Judy Woodard and Nell Belue; and his grandsons, Jack Mitchell III, Jonathan Mitchell and Joshua Mitchell. He is also survived by 5 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild along with several nieces and nephews.
