He was predeceased by: his parents, Manuel Baker, Sr. and Opal Stargel Baker; his brother John Wilmore Baker; his niece Michelle Sewell; and his nephew Michael Sewell.

He is survived by: his wife Judy Baker; his daughter Michelle Baker Lee; his grandson Morgan Chase Lee; his stepgrandchildren, Cameron, Cole, Samantha and Amberly Norton of Huntsville; and his siblings, Richard Baker (Cristi), Sarah Freeman (Terry), Shirley Thompson and Gail Thompson (Michael). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
