It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Marian Sutton Akridge of Bayou la Batre, Alabama, who passed away on April 15, 2024, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Harry Leon Sutton and Mary Akin Sutton; her sister Evelyn Sutton Roberston; and her son Gerald Sutton Akridge of Centerville, GA.. She is survived by : her significant other Jack H. Akridge; her children, Jack Stephen Akridge (Karen) of Perry, GA, Rebecca Akridge Summers (Charles) of Elko, GA and Beth Akridge Bresnahan (Daniel) of Cinnaminson, NJ.; and her grandchildren, Ray Mitchell, Tara McInvale, Kimberly Pope, Rebecca Prance, Travis Akridge, Carolyn Bresnahan and Jack Bresnahan. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 28th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Watson - Hunt Funeral Home (1208 Main St, Perry, GA 31069). A graveside service was held on Sunday, April 28th 2024 at 4:00 PM at the Perry Memorial Gardens (2106 US Hwy 41, Perry, GA 31069).
