He was predeceased by : his parents, Laurence Milton McPherson and Annie Mae Bell McPherson; and his siblings, Milton Monroe McPherson, Raymond "Bay" Booker and Angie Booker Wynn.

He is survived by : his siblings, Anna Laura Brown of Beatrice, AL, Bart McPherson (Irene) of Haiwassee, GA, Jimmy McPherson (June) of Monroeville, AL and Robert Booker (Pat) of Monroeville, AL; his children, Toby McPherson of Beatrice, AL, Tracy McPherson of Montgomery, AL and Amy Cobb McInvale of Greenville, AL; and his grandsons, Gavin McPherson, Baker McInvale and Lance McInvale.
