He was predeceased by: his parents, T. W. Watkins and Maude Kelley Watkins; his siblings, William "Bill" Thomas Watkins and Dorothy "Dot" Patterson; his daughter Diane W. Marceau; and his grandchildren, Lesli Danielle Griffice and Jerry Scott Jones.
He is survived by: his wife Billie Banks Watkins; his children, Danny Watkins (Kathy), Darlene Lawley (Randy) and Delores Jones (Jerry); and his grandchildren, Ashley Chapman (Jason) of Bessemer, AL, Landon Griffice (Ashley) of Bessemer, AL, Christie LaRocca (John) of Port Richey, FL, Carla Henson (Doug) of Ellijay, GA, Aimee Dillion of Birmingham, AL, Paige Jones of Harvest, AL and Kevin Jones of San Diego, CA. He is also survived by ten great grandchildren; eleven great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
