We are sad to announce that on April 30, 2025, at the age of 74, JoAnn Swinney Marler (Bessemer, Alabama), born in Russellville, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her brother Gary Swinney. She is survived by: her husband Barry L. Marler; her children, Brandon L. Marler and Amanda Marler Gardner (Nick); her grandsons, N. Bryant Gardner and Bradley L. Gardner; and her siblings, June DeFoor, Bob Swinney, Freddie Swinney and Paul Swinney.

In lieu of flowers, JoAnn's wishes were donations be made to the UAB Ovarian Cancer Research Center or to a favorite charity of your choosing.
