He was predeceased by: his parents, Belton Youngblood Cooper and Rebecca Bowers Cooper. He is survived by: his wife Debra Baxter Cooper; his brother Lloyd Cooper (Jane); his nephew Wilson; his brother Spencer Cooper (Heather); and his nephews, Maxwell and Gra.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests any memorial gifts be made to the UAB Comprehensive Cancer Center, 1824 Sixth Avenue South, Birmingham, AL 35294.
