He was loved and cherished by many people including: his father Croom, Sr.; his children, Angela D. Smith, Lyquitta Abrams and Benjamin Croom, Jr.; his siblings, John L. Croom, Charles E. Croom, Sr., Isaac T. Croom and Mary T. Petty; his daughters, Pamela D. Ford and Carrette Burrell (Fredrick); his sisters, Annie Hall of Chicago, IL and Lucy Boyd (James); his sister-in-law Pearlie M. Croom; his children-in-law, Mary Croom and Ray Abrams; and his niece Mary E. Wilson. He was also cherished by grandchildren; fifteen (15) great-grandchildren.
