He was predeceased by: his parents, John Owens and Ann Owens; the mother of his children Donnette Crow Owens; and his grandson James Phillips. He is survived by: his husband Randy Wilson; his children, Anthony Owens, Martin Owens (Shannon) and Anna Walls (Jerome); his siblings, John Owens and Marka Wilson Blackerby; and his brother-in-law David Blackerby. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Birmingham Botanical Gardens.
