He is survived by: his wife Jean Payne; his children, Larry Payne, Carla Clower (Andy) and Steve Payne (Kim); his grandchildren, Joseph Rocco (Emily), Jeffrey Payne (Baylie), Stephen Payne, Cristopher Clower and Cheyenne Payne; and his siblings, Joe Payne (Debbie), George Payne (Amy), Jimmy Payne (Linda) and Patty Aldridge (Jimmy).

Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Research Hospital.
