It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Douglas Kirk Brookshire (Birmingham, Alabama), who passed away on February 16, 2019, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Mavin Hudson Brookshire; his children, Douglas Brookshire (Andrea) and Amy Reese (Ray); and his grandchildren, Tucker Reese, Jillian Reese, Lillian Brookshire, Hudson Brookshire and Clare Brookshire.

I'm lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Kirk's honor to St Jude's Children's Hospital.
