With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elizabeth Brown Townsend (Birmingham, Alabama), born in Greenville, Alabama, who passed away on May 28, 2018 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband James Aubrey Townsend Jr. (Jim); her brother William Thompson Brown (Bill); and her sibling's children, Rebecca Miller Faircloth and Thomas Earl Townsend, Jr.. She is survived by: her daughters, Ashley Townsend Prewitt (Andrew) of Birmingham and Hillary Townsend Ziegenhagen (Michael) of Brooklyn; her sister Barbara Brown Miller; her siblings-in-law, Thomas Earl Townsend (Cathye) and Gay Nell Townsend; her grandson Wyatt Townsend Ziegenhagen; her children, Lishee and Wyatt; and her sibling's children, Nancy Miller Idland (Ronald), Wesley Thomas Miller (Ann), Jeremy Thomas Townsend (Dana), Corey Blaine Townsend and Andrew Brock Townsend.
As Lisha especially loved the Christmas season, and in lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the Independent Presbyterian Church Holiday House Tour or to honor her love of reading, the Emmet O'Neal Public Library.
