She was predeceased by: her husbands, Aubrey Theodore Lanier and Odie Lee Fowler (Dick); her sisters, Marianne Sawyer and Cornelia McGee; and her parents, Marie Willisson Knox and Quintus Cincinnatus Lamar Knox.

She is survived by: her daughter Nancy Fowler (Cindy Betz); her grandchildren, Jamie, Reid, Erik Larson, Rachel Kichline (Ed) and David Brown; and her daughter-in-law Sharon Porter Lanier. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and close friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Elvire Fowler to Oakmont Presbyterian Church or a charity of your choice.
