He was predeceased by: his wife Doris Michalove Kanter; his brother Edward Lewis Kanter; and his parents, Abraham Kanter and Lena Lewis Kanter. He is survived by: his children, Ellen Folks (Charles), David Kanter Charlotte (Sheree) and Drew Kanter (Jennifer) of Birmingham, AL. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
