She was predeceased by: her parents, Benjamin Gibbs and Hattie Gibbs; her husband Dorris M. Samsil; and her daughter Deidre Samsil. She is survived by: her children, D. M. "Sam" Samsil Jr. (Meredith) of Birmingham, Ala, Darrol Samsil (Victoria) of Clarksville, Tennessee, Donna G. Samsil Klinger (Rocky) and Dennis J. Samsil of Cadiz, Kentucky.. She is also survived by six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
