He was predeceased by: his son Jacob Allen Vines; his parents, Corina McDonald and James R. Vines; his stepfather William McDonald; and his sister Vera Lynn McDonald.
He is survived by: his sons, James "Matthew" Vines and John Vines; his siblings, Bobby Vines (Kathy), Ronny Vines (Audrey), Patricia Parker (Lynn), Cindy Jeans (Bobby), Tammy Ray and Gayle Mastak; and his grandchildren, Autumn Poole and Trenton Vines. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
The family suggests donations to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in lieu of flowers.
