With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joan C. Denman (Birmingham, Alabama), who passed away on June 6, 2019 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Brockman Starr and Virginia Brittain Starr; her husband John Hugh Denman, Jr.; her siblings, Henry Brockman Starr, Jr. and Carole Starr Cain; and her pet Snowy.
She is survived by: her son Michael Starr Caputo (Karen); her granddaughters, Courtney Caputo Pierce (Evan) and Elizabeth Hester Caputo; her stepdaughters, Susan Denman Breeden (Ken) and Sandra Denman Grinsfelder (Jim); her siblings-in-law, Harry Leland Cain and Jeanette Miller Starr; her nieces and nephews, Janey Starr Smitherman, Julia Cain, Henry Brockman Starr III (Karen), David Gordon Starr (Kathy), Matthew Starr and Alan Cohen Cain; and her pet Clinic. She is also survived by many cousins and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Dawson Memorial Baptist Church or Small Paws Rescue.
