With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Brake (Birmingham, Alabama), who passed away on July 7, 2018 at the age of 69. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Bennett Brake, Sr. and Elizabeth Bass Brake. He is survived by: his significant other Ellen Benson Brake; his sons, Ryan (Stuart) and Gaines (Line); and his grandchildren, Bennett, John, Libby and Raney.
A celebration of Benny's life will be held at Shades Valley Lutheran Church in Birmingham, AL on Sunday, July 15, at 3:00, with visitation at 2:00 . In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Shades Valley Lutheran Church music ministry or the Greater Birmingham Humane Society.
