She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph E. Herring and Ora Cox Caruthers Herring (Ennis Wooten Moring); her daughter Karen Ann Sullivan; and her brothers, Joseph C. Herring and Allen F. Herring.

She is survived by: her son James Irvin Moring (Souheila M. Moring); her grandchildren, Seth Michael Moring, Mariam Michelle Moring, Richard Bryan Sullivan and Kristine Marie Sullivan; and her brother S. David Herring. She is also survived by 3 great grandchildren.

The family request in lieu of flowers, memorials in memory of Julia Moring may be made to the Greater Birmingham Humane Society or a charity of your choice.
