He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Pruitt Pugh; his son Richard Pugh; his grandchild Blake Pugh; and his parents, Berlin P. Pugh and Katie Gaston Pugh.
He is survived by: his wife Loraine Maxwell Pugh; his children, Karl Pugh Jr. (Debbie), Elizabeth Golden and Debra Birmingham; and his stepchildren, Ronnie Maxwell (Betty), Gail Lindsey (Brian) and Vilinda Powell (Ronnie). He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and step-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Lakeside Baptist Church at 2865 Old Rocky Ridge Road, Birmingham,.
