He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilma Lois Gibbs DeArmond and Gardner DeArmond. He is survived by: his sister Kathy DeArmond King; his nephews, Jim King (Ashley Gaddis) and Jon King (Shelby Waddell); and his aunts, Judy Glenn and Margaret Dodd. He is also survived by cousins and many friends.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be sent to the Union Grove First Baptist Church Building Fund or the American Heart Association.
