He was predeceased by: his parents, Sibbie McCluskey Berryhill and Cleve Berryhill; and his siblings, Maureen Berryhill, Louise Collier, Willie Mae May, Lindell Barnette and Wayne Berryhill.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Brown Berryhill; his daughter Kim (Jason Smith) of Trussville, AL; his grandsons, Will and Walker Smith; and his sister Patricia Berryhill of Fayetteville.
