It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lenore Leva Picard (Birmingham, Alabama), born in Selma, Alabama, who passed away on October 16, 2019, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her son Sam "Sandy" Picard, III. She is survived by: her husband Sam Picard, Jr.; her children, Nancy Picard (Clif) and Alan Myer Picard (Beth); her grandchildren, John Elkan Picard, Lily Caroline Picard (Taylor), Gabrielle St. Germain Colon (Taylor), Clayton Trotter (Blair), Davidson Park and Gardner Park (Elise); her great grandchildren, Alastair Picard, James Trotter, Liza Trotter and Henry Trotter; her nephew Don Picard (Kate); her niece Gail Picard (David); and her cousins, Isabelle Sterne and Dorothy Unger.

Because Lenore despaired over the separation of families at our border, in lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Immigrants' Rights Project of the ACLU or to the Rabbi Grafman Endowment Fund for Temple Emanu-El.
