He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Oscar Messer and Florine Messer; his wife Elizabeth Skutt Messer; his children, Lisa Chapman (Kerry), Christopher Messer (Kristi), Anna Messer and Katey Siqueira (Alex); his grandchildren, Adam, Lindsey Chapman, Caleb, Tucker Messer and Vitoria Siqueira; his brother Bennie Messer; and his brother-in-law Bill Skutt.
