With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Loretta Y Knight (Birmingham, Alabama), who passed away on May 8, 2019 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband James Knight; and her parents, Lillian Stephens and Joe Young. She is survived by: her children, Jamelle Webb (General), Jamiese Hamilton Sandra Smith (Forice), Freda Smith, Vanessa Knight and Xavier Knight (Liz); her aunt Rosetta Pearson; and her son-in-law Vincent Sledge. She is also survived by 11 Grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, two great- great grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews.
