She is survived by: her children, Brenda Sumpter, Patetia Gilbert and Jerome Gilbert (Barbara); her siblings, Lorene Harris Smiley (Jerrius), Virginia Harris Calhoun, Edna Perrin (Johnny), Rosie Harris, Ornetta Murphy, Lonnie (Debra), Steve and James; and her grandchildren, LeShone Fredrick (Brian), Edwina Sumpter (Kenneth), Kioka Holder (Jerome), Kimberly Gilbert, Ashley Gilbert, Jessica Jenkins (Larry), William Nash, Eddie Sumpter, III (Cora) and Terran Gilbert. She is also survived by one great, great grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends.
