With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mary Anne Gibbons of Birmingham, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 30, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Marvin Burdette Bates. She is survived by: her mother-in-law Ellen "Nellie" Morgan Beddow Bates; her husband Grady Whitfield Gibbons; her daughter Melissa Gibbons Whetstone (Gregory Todd); her grandsons, Morgan Robins Whetstone (Chapin Smith), Wesley Whitfield Whetstone and Bates Everitt Whetstone; her son Farling Whitfield Gibbons; her granddaughter Bailey Gibbons Garrett (Michael Chase); and her great grandchildren, Michael Grady Garrett and Caleb Glenn Garrett.
