He was predeceased by: his wife Lorena Hopper Gowins; his daughter-in-law Sharon Lawrence Gowins; and his grandson Michael Gowins. He is survived by: his children, Milton A. Gowins, Jr. (Lisa), Dennis C. Gowins and Patti Gowins Swanson (Mark). He is also survived by four grandchildren.
