It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Myrtle Simmons (Birmingham, Alabama), who passed away on August 29, 2018, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Virnard Simmons; and her daughter Margaret Dunson. She is survived by: her children, Dewey Simmons and Cathy Simmons; and her sister Polly Long. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, and a host of great grandchildren as well as a numerous nieces, nephews, cousins.
