She was predeceased by: her father James McCurdy; her husband Eugene Darden; her mother Clara Tyson; her sister Mona Barnett; and her son Larry Darden.

She is survived by: her son Steven Darden; her daughter-in-law Cathy Darden; her son Philip Darden; her daughters-in-law, Teresa Darden of Helena, Alabama and Suzanne Darden of Birmingham, Alabama; and her grandchildren, Donna Duffy, Gene Darden (Christy), Dusty Darden (Kelly), Philip Darden (Dana) and Elizabeth Darden. She is also survived by children, and numerous nieces and nephews.
