She was predeceased by: her parents, Zadie Lawler and Barney Lawler; her former husband Wilbur J. James Jr.; and her sister Sandra Lawler. She is survived by: her husband Jack; her brother Linden (Linda); her children, Vanessa James Bragg (Taylor Bragg) and Chris James (Alice Traylor James); and her grandchildren, Stuart, Davis Bragg, Lauren and Riley James.

The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial gifts be made to Alzheimer's of Central Alabama in memory of Perry James.
