He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Wesley Ash and Edith Irene Jones Ash; his former wife Jerrie Lois Ash; his siblings, Freddie Ash, Helen Ivey, Dorothy Brill and Elois Holbert; and his stepson Mike Spray.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Hanners Ash; his children, Robert Higdon (Tammy), Jeremy Jones (Rosellen), Alan Higdon (Jan), Karen Rich (Mark), Tammy Patterson (Mike) and DeAnn Childers (Ricky); and his sister Betty Champion (Judy Rawlings). He is also survived by Several Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers: family requests memorial donations be made to the Hospice of the Valley or to New Center Baptist Church.
