He was predeceased by: his parents, Joel Homer Chafin and Martha Taylor Chafin. He is survived by: his brother Joe Chafin (Mary Jo); his nephews, Chris Chafin (Danielle) and James Chafin; his great-nephews, Samuel Chafin and Silas Chafin of Dora; and his great-niece Sarah Cate Chafin.
