He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Annie Delores Thompson; his sons, Patrick of Birmingham, Alabama, Walter, Jr. of Birmingham, Alabama and Kenny Steele of Birmingham, Alabama; his sisters, Willie Jean Smith (Fester) and Josephine Spears of Fort Wayne, Indiana; and his grandchildren, Trayshawn and Dega. He was also cherished by nephews, nieces, great-nephews, sisters-in-law, other relatives and friends.
