In the sacred silence of farewell, Don is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Dennis Lindsey and Geneva Sue Smith Lindsey; and his siblings, Sterling, Nathan and Norma Jane Yount.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Lindsey; his children, Amanda and Donnie; and his granddaughter Ainslie. He is also survived by nephews and a niece.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home (1591 Gadsden Hwy, Birmingham, AL 35235). A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to First Batist Church of Pinson's Youth Fund.
