She was predeceased by: her daughter Audrey Stewart; and her sisters, Evelyn Janet Samuel and Patricia Burrell. She is survived by: her siblings, William Jemison, Hiram Stewart and Alicia Stewart Allen; her son James L. Stewart; her grandchildren, Franshon Stewart, Jamiece Stevenson, Deshundra Kelly, James Stewart, Jr. and Jaron Stewart; her brother-in-law Earl Samuel, Sr.; and her close friend Barbara Merchant. She is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren and one great, great-grandchild.
