With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William W Arnold Jr. (Birmingham, Alabama), born in Selma, Alabama, who passed away on September 17, 2021 at the age of 87. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of William W Arnold Jr. to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his wife Gayle; his parents, William Walter and Hattie Mae Merritt Arnold; and his brothers-in-law, Clark Lewis and Paul Edfeldt.

He is survived by: his children, Katie Shockley (Steve) and Merritt Arnold (Amy) of Athens, GA; his grandchildren, Morgan Arnold, Cameron Arnold and Sadie Arnold; and his sisters-in-law, Sue Edfeldt of Vestavia Hills and Frieda Lewis of Attalla. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Trinity United Methodist Church.
