With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alma Ruth Gartman (Blountsville, Alabama), who passed away on June 30, 2021 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Vernon Holcomb and Elsie Holcomb; her husband Robert Gartman; her daughters, Rhonda Kay, Anita Birkhimer and Diane Key; her grandchildren, Bradley Franklin, Brooke Franklin and Erik Birkhimer; and her sisters, Nadene Hitt, Jewel Hitt, Virginia Little, Mary Elizabeth and Gevena Bailey.

She is survived by : her daughters, Darlene Franklin (Jack) of McCalla and Becky Englebert (Donnie) of Green Pond; her grandchildren, Wesley Key (Kelly), Amanda Hines (Tim), Lara Brewer (Chuck), Brittany Mills (Paul) and Kayla Cornelius (Calan); and her great grandchildren, Carson, Cohen, Eden, Julie, Loralei, Wyatt, Ruthie, Addison and Olivia.

Granny was persistent with her strength and determination even during the journey of Alzheimer's.
