She was predeceased by : her parents, Henry Martin and Elsie Bernice Wilkins Killian; her husband Monroe Benjamin Dye; her daughter Sharon; and her sisters, Tootsie Goodwin and Sandra Surrett.

She is survived by : her children, Benny Dye (Amalene), Karen Dumont and Lorrie Green (Mark); her brother Tommy Baswell (Jean Ann); and her grandchildren, Amy Peterson, Barton Dye (Ashley), Daniel Dye (Julie), Cindy Barton (Jason), John Barnett (Amber), Stephanie Peeples, Jessica Peeples (James) and Jesse Peeples.
