He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Marvin Riley and Josephine Rhoades Qualls; his wife Bonnie Lightsey Qualls of Boaz; his children, Melvin E. Qualls of Crossville, Tommy Qualls of Mississippi, Ebb Qualls of Illinois, James Qualls of Alabama, Patricia Bagley of Boaz, Lilly Jean Bowen of Mississippi, Macine Trantham of Alabama and Carol Qualls of Mississippi; his stepchildren, Jeff Lightsey of Boaz and Brenda Abernathy of Sardis; his brother Joe Qualls of Florida; and his former wife Lilly Mae Qualls. He was also cherished by Great Grandchildren.
