He was predeceased by : his mother Virginia Evelyn Shaw Davis; his former life partner Sandra Kaye Davis; and his brothers, Clyde Davis, Marshall Davis and Hayes Davis.

He is survived by : his father William D. Davis, Sr. (Cecilia) of Ecuador; his wife Belle Davis of Boaz; his children, Kevin Davis (Rebecca) of Washington and Kimberly McAvoy (Nicole) of California; his grandchildren, Sullivan Davis and Dahlia Davis; and his siblings, Darrol D. Davis (Sana) of California, Daniel Davis of California, Carol Nelson (Bill) of California and Donna McFarlane (Rick) of California.
