She was predeceased by: her parents, J. D. Thornhill and Ada Thornhill; her husband William Earl "Pogue" Thompson; her siblings, J. D. Thornhill II, F. M. Thornhill and Ada Myrick; her stepdaughter Mary Duckworth; and her son-in-law Chuck Comer.
She is survived by: her children, William Earl "Bill" Thompson Jr. (Tonya) and Tammy Pascal (Tim); her grandchildren, Bradley Weaver, Sarah Raines (Baxley), Crystal Thompson (Max), Chuck Duckworth (Adrienne) and Clint Duckworth; her great grandchildren, Evan and Christian Duckworth; and her daughter Beverly Blair. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Due to Covid-19, all that attend are asked to wear a protective mask and do their best to social distance.
Betty always said she wanted her flowers while she was alive to enjoy them so in lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, Alzheimer's Association or Covenant Hospice to honor her memory.
